The 3rd International Music Olympiad in Lithuania!
The 3rd International Music Olympiad took place at Klaipeda University in Lithuania. Students
from nine countries (Czech Republic, Estonia, Cyprus, Croatia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia,
Slovenia) came to Klaipeda this year. Young musicians presented their talent, knowledge, and
musical skills in four different parts of the competition for three days.
Participants were awarded with medals and diplomas in gold, silver or bronze. The best performer
of a song, the best composer of the original composition and the best contestant with the highest
score in the listening tasks were awarded special prizes.
The Olympiad was organized by Lithuanian Ministry of Education and Science, Lithuanian Music
Teachers’ Association, Klaipeda University and the European Association for Music in Schools.
